Jean-Michel Othoniel
Jean-Michel Othoniel is a French artist born in 1964 in Saint-Étienne. He lives and works in Paris. Since the 1990s, he has been creating poetic and monumental sculptures, mainly in blown glass, often in collaboration with artisans from Murano. His works, such as the Kiosque des Noctambules at the Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre station in Paris, combine art and architecture, exploring the themes of fragility, light and metamorphosis. He has exhibited in prestigious institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, the Louvre Museum, the Villa Medici in Rome and the Brooklyn Museum.
