Hajime Sorayama, born in 1947 in Japan, is an artist renowned for his hyperrealistic illustrations of female robots, where sensuality and technology meet. His unique style, which he calls "superrealism," is distinguished by extreme precision, often achieved with an airbrush. Sorayama is particularly known for his series Sexy Robot launched in 1978, which propelled him onto the international scene. He also collaborated with Sony on the AIBO robot and with Dior on futuristic creations. His influence is notable in popular culture, notably in films like Ex Machina.
