Hans Hartung
Hans Hartung (1904–1989) was a German-born, naturalized French painter and one of the pioneers of abstract art. He is recognized for his gestural abstract works, characterized by the use of line, color, and movement. Influenced by Surrealism and Dadaism, Hartung developed a style characterized by dynamic brushstrokes and an experimental approach to the artistic process. His work had a significant influence on 20th-century European abstract art.
