Marilyn (2026) presents a softer, more luminous interpretation of the same iconic subject as its companion print — the palette here shifting toward pale sage, blush rose, and warm cream, the composition opening up to bathe the figure in a cooler, more expansive light. Where Marilyn I drew the face forward with deeper contrasts and stronger shadows, this variant recedes slightly into its ground, the face emerging with a quiet, almost ethereal presence — melancholy and magnetic in equal measure.
