Description:
Andres Valencia (born 2011) is a Mexican contemporary artist based in San Diego, California, renowned for his large, dramatic, and colorful figurative paintings, deeply influenced by George Condo, Picasso, and Cubism. Standing on a ladder to create his large-scale works, he combines oil sticks with oil and acrylic paint to produce bold colors and imaginative fragmented facial compositions.
Identified early for his extraordinary talent by his school’s visual and performing arts program (VAPA), Valencia draws inspiration from artists such as RETNA, Richard Hambleton, Raphael Mazzucco, and Salvador Dalí, collected by his father.
Alberto the Clown exemplifies Valencia’s imaginative approach, surprising the art world with works that have sold for hundreds of thousands of euros.
