Beethoven is a complete set of four color screenprints on Lenox Museum Board, executed in 1987 and published by Herman Wünsche. This set is numbered 58 from the edition of 60, plus 15 artist's proofs. Each sheet bears the signature in pencil of the Executor of the Estate of Andy Warhol and the publisher, and the blindstamp of printer Rupert Jasen Smith.

The Beethoven series stands as one of Warhol's most refined and culturally resonant late works, applying his signature screenprint technique to the iconic portrait of Ludwig van Beethoven and transforming a canonical image of Western culture into a vibrant Pop statement. Through bold color fields and serial repetition, Warhol draws an implicit parallel between Beethoven's musical legacy and the mechanisms of fame he spent his career dissecting.

At 101.6 × 101.6 cm per sheet, the complete set carries a monumental presence. Warhol's work is held in virtually every major museum collection worldwide, and late Estate-authenticated editions like this one are among the most sought-after in the print market today.

That same fascination with mass-reproduced imagery appears in Cow, a color lithograph turning a farmyard subject into a Pop icon. His engagement with mass-media branding reappears in Volkswagen (1985), from his Ads Portfolio — both available now at Lynart Gallery.

The set is in excellent condition.
