Based on Jeff Koons' famous porcelain sculpture, Michael Jackson and Bubbles is one of the artist's most iconic images. It depicts global pop star Michael Jackson sitting alongside his chimpanzee Bubbles, in a deliberately smooth, golden, and idealized aesthetic.

This work is part of the Banality series, in which Jeff Koons explores the notions of celebrity, image worship, kitsch, and popular culture. By transforming a musical icon into a monumental and sacralized art object, Koons questions the boundary between art, marketing, and modern idolatry.
