Luis Rafael Galvez

Luis Rafael Galvez (born 1986 in Michoacán, Mexico) is a Chicago-based artist. Her work explores the intersection between personal narrative and cultural identity, addressing themes such as dislocation and disorientation related to cultural differences. His figurative works, often imbued with humor and surrealism, question cultural hierarchies and reflect his experience as an immigrant. He has exhibited at galleries such as The Alice Wilds in Milwaukee.
