This is a unique artwork from Damien Hirst’s Great Expectations series. Each print exists only once, offering a rare opportunity to acquire a singular and individual work by the artist. Hand-signed on the front and numbered on the reverse label, the piece is delivered ready to hang without requiring additional framing, thanks to the integrated rear-mounted frame.
At the core of the Great Expectations works are grids of pregnant women resembling emojis, their forms constructed from paint spots of various shapes, sizes, and colors drawn directly from artworks in The Currency series. While the basic structures repeat across the series, each piece is individualized through unique colors and compositional attributes, ensuring that no two are identical.
This series references some of the most iconic imagery from Hirst’s monumental career. Though designed in relation to a broader body of 10,000, not all works will be printed, underscoring the rarity and collectibility of this edition.
